How to turn your beloved moisturiser into an enriched deeply hydrating mask
A brilliant way to get the most out of your moisturiser:
Get a disposable (hence very sanitary) palette tile and scoop out a dollop of your face cream, add a few drops of a nourishing oil of your choice- I have been using the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse for years, and apply a generous amount on your face. Layer the sheet mask over the product, smooth it out,and let your skin soak up all the goodness while you sit back and relax.
You will not believe how plush and hydrated your skin will feel afterwards!
2. Fresh Avocado & Oat Mask
Avocados contain a lot of minerals such as iron, potassium, calcium, sodium, copper, magnesium, etc. They also contain vitamins A, E, B and K. Oatmeal on the other hand contains avenanthramides, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that soothe itchy, dry and irritated skin.An avocado-oatmeal face mask will reach the deepest layers of the epidermis and give elasticity even to the driest skin.
Mash up half an avocado onto your disposable palette and add a tablespoon of oats. Stir the mixture until it turns into a uniform paste. Apply evenly to your skin and then layer the sheet mask on top, smoothing out the product and locking all the goodness inside.
3.Your perfect custom made facial
Typically, there’s a mix of oily and dry areas on different parts of your face, with the t-zone being a bit more oily and acne prone, the skin around the eyes being the more sensitive part of your face, and your skin is often dry and even flaky on the cheeks and/or under the eyes.
With a sheet mask that you can customize to suit your exact needs, making all parts of your skin happy is as easy as grocery shopping.
Apply the products directly onto the mask. I used a hydrating gel mask for the cheek area, an anti-aging serum under the eyes,a tea-trea blemish treatment on my chin and a mashed up kiwi fruit on the nose and forehead.
My skin felt amazing afterwards.
Instead of buying into the hype, gimmicks and trend products of every season, investing into a couple of tools that will help you create the perfect cruelty-free skincare for you and your needs, while using the products you already know and trust or DIYing something quickly out of your kitchen cupboard, is the new,avant-garde, less-invasive,money-saving and cruelty-free approach to skincare, and we are all in!
